Basic and Sketching Principles with Melody Hemmer
To celebrate the summer reading
program, the library will be hosting a free art class for 4 weeks. Some
concepts that will be covered include learning to draw what you see,
shading, proportion, linear drawing, effects of lighting, tone, contrast
and perspective. This program is open to all adult card holders (high
school freshman and older). For questions, please call the library at

Classes will be held in the History Room of the Dixon Public Library,
Thursday, June 12 - 9:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.
Thursday, June 19 - 9:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.
Thursday, June 26 - 9:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.
Thursday, July 3 - 9:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.

Art supplies (drawing paper, pencil, eraser) will be provided or
students may bring their own.
Continuous attendance is encouraged
but not required.
Class size is limited to 20 students. Please sign up in advance at the
Adult Services desk. |
